Meghan DeHart works at River Road Middle School as the 7th grade English Language Arts teacher. She graduated in 2003 from Shepherd University, in Shepherdstown, West Virginia with a Degree in Fine Arts and Photography.
Once her children were all in school, she began working as a substitute teacher at River Road Independent School District until she realized she wanted to do more in the classroom. She became a paraprofessional and then started her certification program through Texas Teachers. This August will begin her 3rd year as the 7th grade ELA teacher at River Road Middle School.
Mrs. DeHart wants to make sure each student that walks into her classroom knows they have value and believes in themselves and their potential to do great things. She has enjoyed seeing her students grow and gain confidence as she has worked with them to set and achieve their goals.
She has truly enjoyed working with such a kind and supportive group of co-workers at RRMS and can't wait for next year.
