Atmos Energy donates $10,000 to River Road ISD

Atmos Energy donated $10,000 during a ceremony Tuesday morning at River Road High School's library. The donation was awarded to the school district by Becky Palmer, president of the West Texas division of Atmos Energy and an alumna of the district. The donation will be applied to the literacy programs at each campus within the district, among other campus needs.

The donation was received by River Road under Atmos Energy’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities program. The school will divide the donation up between its four campuses, including Rolling Hills Elementary and Willow Vista Early Childhood Academy.

“Education is one of our important pillars of the way that we give back to our communities with our Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities initiatives. It is a foundation, and we are investing in kids to fuel bright minds, and healthy futures for our kiddos to make them future leaders in the community, and possibly future leaders like our President Becky Palmer, to work for our company,” said Michael Gonzales, manager of public affairs for Atmos Energy.

Thank you Atmos Energy!
