Kayla Freeman - Registrar

Kayla Freeman grew up in Ringwood, Oklahoma and previously worked for Guymon High School in Guymon, Oklahoma as the Registrar. Kayla has been with River Road since February of 2004 . Not only is Kayla the first point of contact for students seeking advice from our counselors, she is also in charge of registering new students, transcripts, and ensuring our student database is kept up to date.

Michelle Mayfield - 9th and 10th Grade Counselor

Michelle Mayfield grew up in Panhandle, TX. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business Education in 1985 and her Master's in 1989. After teaching for 15 years, she received her Certification in Counseling from Texas Women's University in 2001 and has been a counselor now for over 5 years.  Click here to read Mrs. Mayfield's letter to parents.

Elaine Hyer - 11th and 12th Grade Counselor

Elaine Hyer grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and moved to Amarillo in 1986. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1989. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies in 1994 from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She received her Masters of Education in Counseling in 2001 from West Texas A&M. She has been a counselor now for 8 years.
